Columbus, OHIO – September 30, 2025 – The Board of Trustees for the Building Industry Association of Central Ohio (BIA) is pleased to announce Tod Bowen as the organization’s new Executive Officer.

Bowen has deep experience and knowledge in association management, public policy and the Ohio legislative landscape. For the past seven years, he has served as the Managing Director of External Affairs and Government Relations at the Ohio Restaurant and Hosptality Alliance (ORHA), representing nearly 25,000 businesses and more than half a million employees across the state. During that time, he helped shepherd the organization through the COVID-19 crisis, one of the most difficult challenges to the Ohio restaurant industry in history. He is credited with broadening ORHA’s influence and playing a key role in advocating for many issues critical for business to thrive in their communities.

“Tod is the right leader to join us during a critical time in the home building industry in central Ohio,” said Troy Fritz, BIA Board of Trustees President. “With his key relationships and proven track record, we know he will help us navigate our future.”

Prior to joining ORHA, Bowen spent 25 years as a political consultant and campaign fundraiser, serving clients at all levels of government service in Ohio. This breadth of experience in policy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement uniquely positions him to advance the BIA’s mission and strengthen the voice of central Ohio’s homebuilding industry.

Jessica McKinney, BIA’s Director of Membership and Operations, served as interim Executive Director while the Board of Trustees conducted a comprehensive search for this role.

said Fritz. “We just wrapped up another successful Parade of Homes, and we could not have accomplished this without them.”

Bowen will join the BIA on Monday, October 20, 2025.
